IE/AS-i LINK PN IO

The IE/AS-i LINK PN IO is a PROFINET IO device (according to IEC 61158) and AS-Interface master (according to AS-Interface specification V3.0 to EN 50 295) and enables transparent data access to the AS-Interface from Industrial Ethernet.

The IE/AS-i LINK PN IO is thus ideally suitable for distributed configuration and for linking an underlying AS-Interface network. Simple diagnostics and startup take place on site using a pixel-graphics display and operator keys or using the integrated web interface via remote standard browser.

ERTEC 200 - for optimum performance with low implementation overhead

The Industrial Ethernet ASICs ERTEC 200 and ERTEC 400 (Enhanced Real-Time Ethernet Controller) enable you to connect your devices and systems to PROFINET without much effort. These high-performance Ethernet controllers with integral real-time switch and 32-bit microprocessor have been designed especially for industrial use.

In this way, powerful PROFINET ports can be implemented in the smallest of spaces. In contrast to the ERTEC 400 with integral 4-port switch, the ERTEC 200 has an integral 2-port switch and integrated PHYs (Physical Media interface blocks) and is therefore particularly suitable for use at the field level.

SINEMA E – Planning, Simulation and Configuration - Software

SINEMA E (SIMATIC Network Manager Engineering) is a software program for planning, simulation and configuration of Industrial Wireless LAN (IWLAN) applications in accordance with the Standard 802.11 a/b/g and is used fort he visualization of IWLAN networks, e.g. according to coverage, data rate, signal-to-noise ratio and overlap with regard to environmental and equipment chracteristics.

Motion Control via PROFINET

In motion control applications with high demands for synchronization and the dynamics of the axes, the real-time property IRT of PROFINET fulfills all desires in terms of cycle time, deterministics and the number of participants, even for very large systems, such as printing machines with a large number of drives.

SIMOTION offers a PROFINET interconnection for the PC-based (SIMOTION P) and for the drive-based variant (SIMOTION D).

Drive System SINAMICS S120

Within the SINAMICS drive family, the SINAMICS S120 drive system is the modular system for high-performance applications in the industrial machine and plant construction. SINAMICS S120 is also available with PROFINET IO interface. PROFINET allows the fast exchange of closed-loop control data and permits the use of SINAMICS S120 even in ultrahigh-performance multi-axis applications.
