EM 253 Positioning Module

The EM 253 is a simple but powerful positioning module that enables the user to control position systems from Micro-Steppers to intelligent servo drives (with integrated closed-loop control).

The Hardware

Fast and independent:

Integrated pulse interface for specifying position, speed and direction with up to 200,000 pulses per second

Integrated controller and position switching inputs perform the positioning task independently of the CPU

The Software

A graphically supported wizard integrated into the familiar programming environment (STEP 7-Micro/WIN, V 3.2 upwards) for:

Parameterization (basic parameters for the system and components)
Creating the positioning profile
Specifying the home-seeking mode

The start-up tool EM 253 Control Panel integrated into Micro/WIN supports online modification and parameterization of the configuration parameters (Teach-in function) for easy start-up.
